The lighthouses of the Sulina Canal came into obsolescnce since the natural growth of the canal into Black Sea (over 2 kilometres) and the addition of a long jetty (another 2 kilometres). Once in the outskirts of town, now the lighthouse become museum and is the real center of the town at the end of the Danube.
