Camil Iamandescu > The oldest lighthouse in Sulina, 2006. The lighthouses of the Sulina Canal came into obsolescnce since the natural growth of the canal into Black Sea (over 2 kilometres) and the addition of a long jetty (another 2 kilometres). Once in the outskirts of town, now the lighthouse become museum and is the real center of the town at the end of the Danube.

In the far background is one of the old lighthouses of the Sulina Canal (early 1900's), which came into obsolescnce since the natural growth of the canal into Black Sea (over 2 kilometres) and the addition of a long jetty (another 2 kilometres).
