Romania is a very beautiful country. But we, Romanians, are careless about environment, so, after 1989, we degraded the landscape by neglecting the proper use of land and, mostly, by destroying thousands and thousands of acres of forests... For making some money, in exchange of our industrial losses... This, in adition of building houses without a plan, or some minimal attention to the aspect of the land, lead us to have now autharchical villages and cities. In Romania, deforestation lead to massive landfalls, climate changes, drying rivers and so on...
The mountains are - in some areas - less touched. Again, in Transsilvania, the situation is a little better.
